From what I've read, it seems ~e5.0001 is copy protection software. Are you using a legally obtained copy of BF2?

You may want to try doing the install Nvidia Driver option, if you haven't already, or try downloading and installing the latest Nvidia Drivers.

tried the NVIDIA Driver option and got this NVIDIA Setup Error Setup detected that the operating system in use is not Windows. This setup program and its associated drivers are designed to run only on Windows . The installation will be terminated.

How can I find the latest NVIDIA drivers? for my pc?

32-bit Vista drivers: NVIDIA DRIVERS 191.07 WHQL

64-bit Vista drivers: NVIDIA DRIVERS 191.07 WHQL

Hope that helps.
