I'm having problems connecting to servers, everytime i try to connect, it just updates my list of servers; I have updated to the latest version of BF2. I don't know what the problem is, i've tried everything, but nothing seems to work, so this site is my last resort.:uhm:

Just wait till its done updating- it does it every time. Since there are several thousand servers, it takes few minutes. After that you will be able to join any server you want. Or you could stop update manually, and join to IP

i've tried that already, i've tried joining with an IP and i've tried letting it finish updating. None of that works, but i'm going to try to uninstall it tonite and see what happens. :smokin:

I doubt I can help you out but others might come up with something if you list your System Specs and and what Firewall/Router you are using. It really helps to give this type of info, even if it doesn't lead to a solution because otherwise there isn't much to go on. One possibility is that you may need to manually update PunkBuster. System Specs: Intel 3.4C(C = Northwood Core) on Asus P4C800-E Deluxe(Intel 875P + ICH5R Chipset), Zalman 7000a-Cu HS/Fan, Enermax RG651P-VE 550W PSU, 1 GB Mushkin High Performance(2-2-2) PC3200 RAM, NEC MultiSync FE2111SB 21" Monitor, Sapphire Radeon X800 XT PE Videocard with v5.6 Catalyst Drivers, DirectX 9.0c, Creative Audigy2 Platinum Soundcard with Creative OpenAL Beta Driver, 250 GB w/8 MB Cache Western Digital HDD, WinXP Pro SP2 - Norton SystemWorks and Personal Firewall 2005

I wouldn't think that PB would be the problem, have you tried setting you're filters to narrow down the results? Try checking No Password, Populated, and Not Full. Also you're not on Dial Up are you?

I had that same weirdness for my BF2. Exactly. When I tried to join server it just flashed "updating server list" and I was back at the screen where the filters are. I got it solved however. 1. uninstall the game...ALL files 2. install it again (your account and stats will be ok) 3. Install 1.02 update After that the game works again :D But that IS weird behaviour... There might be couple of reasons why the game got nasty (in my case..). - I added 1GB memory to motherboard or - EA was doing something to stats/other problems so the server was down I had to renew Office XP registration and some other software because I added that 1GB ! I had 2x512Mb earlier but I removed them and put 4x512Mb back ---> that was MAJOR change according to Office XP (microcrap I mean..) :moon:
