I've successfully installed the game. However, whenever I go to play it, I get this message (along these lines): "Failure to find d3dx9_25.dll. Reinstalling might solve the issue." Anyone have any ideas? Specs: Radeon 9700 128.0 MB Should be working...
my mate had that issue aswell.. same dll file too all he did was reinstall it and it worked fine :-)
Un-install and re-install DirectX should fix the problem.
WOW, 4 for 4 AK. LOL. Gunny
Thanks for the advice, but I have one more question: where do you go to uninstall DirectX (looked in Add or Remove Programs, but it didn't show up). Also, can I just install directly from DX9.0c? Just covering all my tracks so I don't mess something up royally.
You can't according to Microsoft, there is no builtin windows method to un-install, you will need to download a program like "DX Eradicator" to remove it.
AK, have you used DX Eradicator before? I just don't want to end up messing up my entire system. I suppose the way to go about this would be to uninstall Direct X and reinstall BF2 (which comes with Direct X 9.0c). Am I correct? BTW: How will other programs be affected? Will they all need to be reinstalled?
Just reinstall the game.i wouldnt unistall DX.... I did that with one game and had to the the EVIL FULL SYSTEM RESTORE!!!! >< But that was with my old pc..... not my new precious one :D

Thanks for the heads up about DX. But I've tried reinstalling a good five or six times. I called EA, and they eventually pointed me towards ATI. ATI did all it could - helping me update stuff - but they finally said it was not a hardware problem, but something with the game. They suggested waiting for the next patch. Short of buying a new computer, I'm fresh out of ideas. BTW: What did you use to uninstall DX?
