Hi, I'm new to this gaming on pc's, my kids got me hooked a few months ago:) I've been playing BF1942 and moved to the next step BF2. My computer is only 8 months old but I guess not good enough for BF2. It starts ok but after the movie it just stops and keeps playing music. I have ordered more ram so I hope this helps but not sure. What else should I do so I can play this game? This is my sys. info. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, LT.Rush

The 9250 card has a few issues with BF2 but will run it. Try going into the BIOS and setting your AGP aperture to X4, normally issues with this card are because it is set to x8. Hope this helps.

Then you are out of luck, it has been stated by the devs that a 9250 in an AGP slow may work, but a 8250 in a PCI slot will NEVER work, dion't ask me how they know that, but that's what they said.

Have gone back and looked at your specs, I find it hard to believe that this: Intel Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.06GHz 3065.3 Mhz 200Gb HDD, is running a PCI vid card, are you absolutely sure certain of that? I also note that it is a HP so it may have come with onboard vid and no AGP port and you added the 9250 later, is that right?

Yeah .. AK is right. Even though you have a nice new computer, you have a prebuild with [b]NO[\b] upgrading capabilities. KInda sucks but you are in a tough spot. you have a good processor and all, but your video has condemned you to a life of bleh .......

If you are on a limited budget with limited computer repair skills, then I suggest buying a Dell gaming rig. They are dependable, relatively inexpensive, warrentied and the 24/7 tech support helps. Or find a computer savy associate and ask him to build you one for you. Good luck bro.

You can buy and FX5700 in PCI. Its not a great card, but its the best you can get for PCI.
