PLZ HELP ME

The game installed fine, I watch the credits for the game, but right after the video, the game freezes, not allowing me to show the game menu. I have re-installed it a few times but the same problem. I then downloaded the game off the EA site and still the same problem. My computer has double the requirement that are needed to run the game, I dont understand what the problem is......

Intel P 4.0 1.2 gb of RAM 1gb stick and 1 256mb stick DirectX 9.0c ATI Radeon 9250 256mb PCI 80gb Hard drive Creative 7.1 sound card MAG LCD flat screen monitor 21'

Unfortunately you are quite incorrect, your computer (specifically your video card) doesn't meet the requirements. If you read the readme that comes with BF2 you will find this list of suppored vid cards, asssume any brand new vid cards not listed also meet the requirements.

Video Cards Battlefield 2 only supports the following video cards: Radeon X700 (PCIe) Radeon X600 (PCIe) GeForce 6600 (PCIe) GeForce PCX 5900 (PCIe) GeForce 5800 Series (AGP) ATI Radeon X800 XT Platinum Edition ATI Radeon X800 PRO ATI Radeon 9800 Series ATI Radeon 9600 Series ATI Radeon 9550 (RV350LX) ATI Radeon 9500 / 9700 Series ATI Radeon 8500 Series ATI Radeon X300 Series NVIDIA GeForce 6800 Ultra NVIDIA GeForce 6800 GT NVIDIA GeForce 6800 NVIDIA GeForce FX 5950 Series NVIDIA GeForce FX 5900 Series NVIDIA GeForce FX 5700 Series

While some people have managed to get the 9250 working there is no real way of knowing whether or not it will work on any particular computer setup. Try changing your AGP settings in the BIOS from 8x to 4x and see of that helps, otherwise you will need a new video card.

You have alot to learn, and like i did. You should take off the back off your PC case and look at your motherboard and see were your graphics card is it should look like this 800px-AGP_slot.jpg but with the graphics card then see if you have a slot like the red one in the picture with the letters AGP above it, or PCI-E if you have that your saved and you could paly bf2 again, if not it's a long process to be able to.

I have a PCI slot not a AGP, by having a PCI slot am I able to use PCI-E ?:uhm: Is PCI-E a different type of slot or just a better video card? I'll try to get a picture within the hour.

NO >>>> pci IS NOT pci-e...

You can not use one in the other. Playing this game with a pci video card will cause you NOTHING but grief.

Try this list.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.asp?N=2010380048+1069609642&Submit=ENE&SubCategory=48

Some cards from there should work, they are all PCI cards, but as stated you cannot use PCI-E cards in a PCI slot.

The 9250, as you now won't work, nor the GF4 MX400 or the GF4 MX4000, not the radeon 7000 naturally, nor the X1300 and other low profiles cards (won't fit in your case), and ignore the physx processors. So it looks like the FX5500 or FX5200 for you.

Well get us a picutre, if you don't have what were looking for then unless you want to play bf2 with decent graphics without lag then your going to have to visit the Tech Forum, and get a new motherboard and video card, maybe even a case.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814145087 So this is the FX5200, this is the video card that i should get to enable me to play BF2? I read your list and the lowest one that you posted is FX 5700, does the card that I linked good enough?
