I recently modded an Xbox controller to work on my computer through the USB. For those of you who have never heard of this, it reads it as a regular gamepad. I want to play Battlefield 2 with the controller but I noticed that you can't map the mouse axis's. What I was thinking of doing was making the left analog stick the forward backward and strafe and the right stick the look around. Is there anyway I can set the controller to look around?
If i am not mistaken you would need a software to Force that coding change to happen .
So, in other words, No?
well .... yeah and no someone could have written such a software. You would have to check the mod boards. But i think that is what you need. just like a set of drivers that powers everything else in your pc. you might be able to find a compatible set somewhere.
theres a program designed for this kind of problems, but it doesnt worked for me (i have the same problem on half life 2 trying to use a play station 2 controller... the same problem with the axys). ouch, the program is called: TOTAL GAME CONTROL Only $19.95 google it =) or visit: www(dot)digitaltransforms(dot)com/ I cant publish urls sorry
it would be much easier to just by a game controller meant for use with a computer....
I just don't really understand the desire to use gamepads in a game that is obviously not designend for them.

well .. some people have a desire to transecend the realm of having to use the mundane. So he did it . And is now asking for help.
Or, you know, you could just respect others wishes. Who the hell cares if I wanna use a gamepad? It's not like I'm forcing you to use one.
