Ok hello pepz Im new to this site but i have always cameand read ur fouroms and now I have a problem that needs fixin. I play BF 2 and i only get like 20 - 30 fps settings on custom my view is 1024 by 768 at 60hz and all on low except texture and terrain on meduim and its so choppy my other games run good tho like Prey all settins on high i get like 50 - 60 fps. Here are my comp specs

Mobo Intel ati chipset Intel P4 D dual core 2.8 ghz 1 gb ram Consair 400mz Powercooler x800 256 mb

First thing to do would be to turn your "view" down to something like 800x..., just try it. But your comp. seems to be good so I don't really know why you can't play at high-performance?!

The game doesn't take advantage of the dual core set up. When playing, turn one core off for the game.

The other thing is the Powercolor x800. :( While it is an x800 card and should play reliably, it is powercolor. Lower end ram and so on.

We have all come to the conclusion here that you should have two gigs of ram to play this game on. It takes out the majority of all choppyness.

But you should deffinitely bring the dimensions down a bit.

Just turn the settings down.

Besides, prey is easier to run because it uses the Doom 3 engine.
