Ok, i just bought BF2 and i installed it no problem. I played for awhile but when i downloaded the 1.2 patch and tried to install it it said that it could not find the battlefield 2 directory. I tried a fre times to fix it but nothing worked. I decided to reinstall BF2. During the reinstallation i had a few problems with unrelated programs that i didnt know were running in the background. I had to end the installation while it was only halfway through. Now whenever i try to uninstall it it appears to start up but then just ends. I went into my program files and deleted all my BF2 files and then tried to reinstall it but now whenever i put the disk in and try to install, it appears to start and then just ends, just like the uninstaller. What is going on and what can anyone reccomend? I just want to reinstall the program.

Try deleting all the registry entries and folders related to battlefield 2 (battlefield 2 folder in my documents also has to be deleted) and then try to reinstal.:)

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Electronic Arts\EAGames thats where you can find a battlefield 2 entry. Delete it. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software and in there delete the DICE entry.:)

You need to master the "search" button.

Go to the 9th post and follow the quoted instructions and see if that helps.
