Most likely your having heating problems yes, to help this take off your side case, increase the speed of your fan with ntools (if you have one on the card) and clean out any dust or clogging in your computer.

yes you DO need another 1 gb of ram, bf2 needs at least 2 gm to run good, what does your comp/gpu temp running??if you're under 80 degrees celcuis, you're fine

They do make a 6200 pci card. He can run bf2 on 1gb as long as he hasnt his textures on high, and with a 6200 he wont have his textures on high.

You can clean the fluff off your fans etc and try and get some case fans if you want some cool air in your case. Make sure you also have the newest drivers available from Domain Maintenance

yes i know they do ... And that is my exact fact, they aren't that great. It is the majority of his problem in a nutshell right there. He can clean all the fluff he likes, the card is still going to over heat.
