Chose to reformat my hard drive due to a virus... Reinstalled BF2, updated with the latest and "greatest" patch, reset my controls (just movement, not video or anything else), and decided to give the game a whirl for the first time in months. Got booted twice by punkbuster at two different servers for "losing key packets". Can someone please explain, in elementary terms, why I am now getting this error and what I can/need to do in order to resolve this problem? I apologize if this topic has been addressed previously...I looked before posting and did not see anything regarding this error. Thank you in advance. I have: - Dell 8400 Dimension - 3 Gig Pentium 4 - 1 Gig RAM - Linksys Wireless G Router/Gateway WCG200

When you are kicked for losing keypackets, it is telling you that PB can't communicate with your pb client.

You may have to do as suggested which is update your pb, or perhaps check the settings in your router. Be sure PB ports are still open.

Read the full answers and you might have gotten this taken care of... Have you checked the router ?

you should start by READING my reply to his issue. You have to check to make sure your router is open for Punkbuster to communicate with.
