The game is installed with the CD-key from the handbook, but the handbook is gone. (probably together with some newspapers and other papers that disappeared from my desk - It's called clean up the mess in a hurry.... ) Is it possible to ecxtract the key from the harddisk or the CD somewhere, or is it lost? Is there any other way to get the key? 1, The game is original, installed once and the CD has never left my PC. 2, I've got the recceit. 3, The game works OK, but I'm a little sceptical to do to many changes unless I can reinstall.

Sorry cannot help you, talking about CD keys is a delicate subject, by telling you what to do you can easily go on a friends computer and steal someone elses CD key..

So no... Find help somewhere else..

SciComHamSorry, you have already tried that here. Good day to you. MODS: I uggest you IP check this guy with this user who OPd this thread here: http://forums.filefront.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=243848

Be my guest....but You'll (or others) soon find out that there is a mismatch of IP between me and the other thread so Your suspection is wrong. It's OK to draw fast, but beware of who You shoot at, even if You miss.....;) I looked upp the thread above, and when I read that together with other messages containing questions about CD-keyes I do understand that this is a "delicate" issue. The one sensible answer I,ve found is to contact EA. It's just so damned irritating that a missing handbook/CD-key will cost me another game.

You aren't talking about generating a cdkey ... Nor are you asking for someone to give you thier cdkey. The issue here is this.... In most games the cdkey was stored on your pc when you installed the game. BF2 is also done this way but they have taken it one step further encrypting it .... The only option you have is to take better care of your equipment and to Contact EA/DICE. Sorry. Mods are here to take care of the moderating. Please keep backseat moderating to reporting threads to the MODS. If you would like a position: Apply for one folks.

Sorry for butting in guys but I have heard of a possible totally legit solution. Not sure if it's true or not here goes. You can take a picture of both of your game cd's and email it to EA and from what I hear, they will issue you a new CD key. Worth a try.

A friend of mine did that and they gave him a CD Key same day.
