As a programmer, I know these guys are working hard but some of this cr*p is easily sorted. I guess with this new BF2142 in the pipeline us existing users are now being forgotten. Even so, here are some issues that need fixing and a few other things :- - Multiple reloading animations for the DAO-12 that repeat and don't stop after 12 shells have reloaded. - Since the new patch some reloads DON'T HAPPEN even though you go through the animation for it! Why and when is it gonna be fixed? - Sometimes you can come across a Support player who's gun is still playing it's firing sound long after they've stopped firing. Seems like a new bug to me. - Why do vehicles sometimes look like they've sunk into the ground? Most of the time the 'wheels on the ground surface' algorithm works but sometimes it doesn't and it looks dumb and bugged. - Along the same lines... why do people's legs still stick out through scenery and walls. Can't the figure's be clipped better when prone? - Why can you be in a corner and jiggle like hell like your figure is having spasms, as the 3d figure tries to fit into the space. If you won't fit why not just leave it? Why the jiggling? It happens the same when teamm8s are prone together. It sucks and needs attention. - AA missiles still relocking onto friendlies after being shaken by flares.
- Why does 'Wake Island 2007' in the ingame stats report as zeros when even BF2S correctly read and report my Wake stats when EA can't seem to? - Repair is so slow compared to the other teamwork skills when out and about on foot with a spanner in your hand. The vehicle-based repair is faster so why not make both the same and speed up foot-based repair. - Why isn't it possible to 'easily' start the game directly into a particular mod? Why do I have to select the mod from the community menu and restart the game? - Why is the viewing distance capped at a lame distance... power gfx users have hardware that will support much further viewing distances and should be allowed to use it. Added to this gripe, the scenery changes complexity as you approach it and the distance at which this change happens could be extended for more powerful hardware... why is there no option to? - What happened to the gfx shader that used to let you see your shells and bullets hitting the water when over the sea? It was a good way of judging how high up you were when gunner in a helicopter. Why was that shader taken out and why, when my hardware ran it easily, can high quality fast hardware users not have it back? - In the menu system, most other online games build up the server list and display it WHILE its being built up during a refresh and NOT get the server list and show it THEN sort it later. What they use is poorly thought out coding. Doing it the 'normal way' then say you've elected to sort by 'fastest', then you ALWAYS see the 'fastest' servers as the list comes in and you don't have to wait for it to finish, click the top one and you're on. Saves time. - Who else has seen the 'HIDDEN menu' on the Awards page? Sometimes I get a page that displays the rank and yet no button appears for it and I have no idea how I get it or how it pops up. It shows the rank progress and my current rank is highlighted. What is that all about? - Taraba Quarry in EF needs either the bombers taking out or the airbases made cappable. If this map is supposed to encourage tank battles, they barely get out of the bases and the map typically bogs down into noobs fighting over the planes. - Why no 'OFFICIAL' blood or blood patch or even the option for power users? Surely the 16+ certificate covers it! These are just a few of my gripes that I haven't seen anyone else mention, but other people must have them. Discuss...
The AA missiles lock on to the nearest Heat source if they lose their current heat source..
If a friendly flies by a blind missile.. and the missile detects the heat source from the back of the Friendly jet, it will lock onto it and chase it..

No official Blood patch because cmon... Blood? you shoot a man MAYBE a chunk of flesh will pop out of the exit wound but thats it..
and for a bullet to go through kevlar.. then through a human body then through kevlar again "exit wound" and still able to spurt out blood? naww..
i believe if you shoot a man in the Face their should be a chunk of flesh being thrown off.. but no spat of blood... its not like all of the humans blood is concentrated in that specific area... so when you shoot it all his blood pops out of that area..

And when was the last time you repaired a BLOWN UP BRIDGE with a mere spanner? I agree, the spanner should repair faster and repair points shoul be doubled.
the support gun keeping fireing is not new, ive seen since the beginning of BF2 and even some very few times other weapons do that too
AND here's more I forgot to add ... - Typically seen on Wake Island, US cap the airbase and when u kill the arti u get 'TEAM VEHICLE DAMAGE'.. Since when did the enemy's arti swap teams and wouldn't a label be nice so that you don't get team damage blowing them up? - Why doesn't clicking on the ribbons in the 'Award' page work anymore? - BTW the repeated sound effects playing indefinitely creates another bug... missing sounds because the sound effects play using the limited number of channels on the sound card... if one is blocked by a distant repeated effect, such as gunfire that doesn't stop, then you miss other sounds closer up as fewer are available for those that could be playing instead. During a typical game, who knows how many distant blocked effects are playing! EAX and environmentally distorted effects will make very distant sounds, even gunfire, so faint as to be zero and on low noise cards, like the Audigy series, will play virtual silence as a result on a 'blocked' channel. Splats on walls would be nice but I really meant a red cloud which is what actually happens!
I mean I could see blood happen when a guy gets shreded by a 50.cal or a minigun and complete gore when blown up by arti or a tank instead of being thrown like a toy.

LOL dice eat that you spazazoids, lazy mofo's dice are, basicly, they care fuck all about people that have spent thousands on hardware for the best possible game, but rather just want it to run so they can sell as many as poss, and dont give a shit about the detail, reliability or performance of top enders, you are like me, waiting for a different company to come along and crush dice on the 3d battlefield, and that will be a 64 bit game, why wasnt 2142 coded to 64 bit ? Cause its bf2 with different moddels, crap again in other words, and patch on patch will come for it too. Dice are just assmonkies chasing a buck, nothing more, there totally not interested in bringing us cutting edge tech in games programming. They make there hooks just long enough to catch your skin and get you in, but when you get there you realise its nothing special.......dice=disapointing...
