I manged to install BF2 on Vista 32 and it is working fine. I installed the cumulative patch and still everything is working fine. When I tried to install the BF2:SF from the CD (I did it before on XP) starts with the logo and with the status windows and 30% in the status windows just "pops" out of the installation. Can anybody help?

Ok....The game was made PREvista. The majority of the issues you will have will be Driver related. And there is NO guarantees for any sort of answers on this. It is like trying to play a game made for Win 98, on an xp system. In most cases, it isn't working.

Biggest piece of advice that can be given at this point is: DUAL BOOT XP AND VISTA. Play on xp and learn vista.

The only problem I've had so far is finding a freakin server I don't get kicked from and it also kept asking for disc 2 and it was in so I tried disc 1 and it worked just wish I knew how to find vista friendly servers

try uninstalling bf2 and delete all bf2 folders, then reinstall bf2,then SF, then update with the 1.41 patch, make sure you install Sf 1st, then patch, clean cd's,also try to right click on the CD in ya computer were it saids the cd is in it, and check allow or admin rights

I installed all of BF2 sucessfully and played successfully. However in BF2142, I get a memory dump crash after about 3 hrs of play.

Thanks guys. I have uninstalled everything BF2, BF2:SF, BFV and BF1942. I have cleaned the registers and re-installed everything. It worked perfectly, with one little problem:-):-) My score does not update anymore. Do I have to contact EA to let them know I have re-installed the game. How do you do this?

Nope... it should beging updating.. If it doesn't just contact them and see what a support ticket does. Reinstalling doesn't do anything to the software that updates your stats unless you have changed your email addy and account.
