This error happens randomly to people with completely correct installs, and on different maps. Also, when this happens, a server usually drops a whole bunch of people, so it's obviously something wrong on the server end.

So, unless it happens for you on every Gulf of Oman map on any server, then i suggest you just try again

'[SYN hydraSlav']This error happens randomly to people with completely correct installs, and on different maps.

Actually I don't believe it's random at all in the way it happens, it happened to me the other day, yes it will happen to everybody, and yes it can happen on any map, because it's to do with the map switching process if you try to join the game at the exact wrong moment. You join the game and start loading the map, the round ends and starts loading a different map (note it must be a different map, not another round of the same map). At that moment I believe, because you haven't finished joining and verified data, your computer continues to load the old map while the server loads the new map, then it starts to verify your map, and finds, of course, that your freshly loaded map is not the same as the one the server is running so you get a data mismatch and get kicked, re-join the same server a moment later and all is well.

So 45Kommando, it happens every time Gulf of Oman loads? Do you still have the demo installed? I can only suggest unistalling the game (and demo), deleting the game folders (must do this step, altered game files won't be un-installed) and the folders in My Documents, then re-install and see how it goes.

Not really, AK.

It doesn't necesserally happen to people just loading the map, it also happens to people that are already playing the game.

It happened to me only twice, but a lot of my clanmates were victims of this, and i was on TS with them. It does happen predominantly at the end of the round before the second round, but as i said, those people were already loaded and happily playing in the first round with no problem, and since i am in admin, i know that noone changed the maps or anything, yet when the new round (same map) starts, a whole bunch can get dropped from the server (and on TS, they complain about this "data different" error, yet the rest continue playing.

To me, it actually happened in the middle of the round, and to one of my clanmates as well at the same time. The rest said that server was fine and they continued playing

Fair enough, I've only noticed it at map changeover, does it make a difference what sort of connection they have? maybe the slower connections have more problems because of a slower game update?

And WTF is up with the forums? When i click reply, i type in the message, and click "submit", but it comes up with a page saying the message is too small and gives me a blank screen. I need to click back, and the my message appears then, and only then i can submit it.

And just now i tried modifying the post, but it won't show the changes (although it looked like it submitted just fine

They have been acting screwy for a couple of days at least, you are not the only person affected, hope they fix em soon.
