i have a geforce 6200 256mb graphic card ( i know it isnt the best but it works even with oblivion) it did his job well with the 1.22 patch. but with the new 1.3 patch i get my screen filled with colors all over the rainbow and sometimes it turns out black and crashes to desktop. i had this broblem before with another patch but it was fixed with the one who came afther that but now i have the same problem. the EA website says it's not a supported card but it worked fine with the 1.22 patch so Why ooh Why did they change this. my god i cant live without my battlefield 2 cause now it 's crashing within 10 min afther i join the server. could some1 help me please. thanks in advance
Either ea officially made it to where you need the cards they posted or its your computer or the sloppy 1.3 patch they made.
like the patch 1.3 took off 10frames average which is gay.
I have some trouble clicking the server I wanna join... it just moves around! Stupid EA...
this might solve your problem. i too have a 6200 model and i do this everytime i patch go to mydocuments/bf2/mods/cache and delete everything under there then restart bf2. assuming its starts ok then go to options and reset all your graphics selections, then load a map and it should be fine. If you get the problem as soon as you start bf2 then try uninstalling and reinstalling and then repatching to 1.3. If that doesnt work then make sure you have the latest video drivers from Nvidia
thnx i will try btw what u think of 6200?
not a good card, I would reccomend an upgrade SOON!
its not really bad, with a little optimization of windows and good ram and cpu 6200 works well considering price. I can play bf2 reasonbly well on medium - low, still looks good. Mines only the 128mb version though
But the thing is, it doesnt look good. But what can you expects for £40 ?
i have the 256 mb version works fine but i need more ram because now i have 512 mb so its not enough i considder buying 1 gb kingston memory
you can get a 1gb stick from 'fastmemoryman' the ebay seller. i got mine for £30
