Hey, in order to play SF, i have to reinstall the 1.41 patch. Right, so i went to EA, got it. Ran it and....nothing. Nothing appeared. The cursor had the little hourglass for a second, but nothing. I checke dout the processes, and the process is where for about 30 seconds then dissapears. So to recap and avoid these solutions-Yes, ive waitied a long time, but since the process goes away it wouldent matte rhow long i waited. Yes, ive downloaded from 2 different sources, and from each one i tried just running it and saving it and running it that way, so its not corrupted. Thanks, i would love to play SF but this is really important for me.

Video card and ram shouldent matter when patching. Are you sure on this? I mean, like i said, NOTHING comes up saying "You already have this patch installed, noob!" it just stays like it is.
I didn't make it!
I had a similar problem, I have multiple hard drives and also multiple partitions so I moved the install to the c:\ and then moved the patch.exe to the same folder as the software files, now it actually brings up the install though it crashes during patch, so far its done it 20-30 times though each time it gets a bit further so 10% after 30 ,I'm gonna be here a while but it may work buts thats the next fun part.
Mobile thanks moving the Patch to the Same drive as the game works. But it looks like your patch is faulty download it again off of EA site or bf2 files.
No, my BF2 is not on my C drive. Its on a different letter, and the patch was on that drive in the first place. So no, thats not my problem.
Alright sorry for the double post-edit button is missing. I copied my EA games dir, which had my BF2 in it to my C drive. Then i went into regedit and changed it all to C. Exact same result, no change.
