Hey guys first off thanks for you time.

Heres what is bugging me: I play BF2 and in game it looks great, preforms well, all is good for about 5-15 minutes before it crashes to desktop. There has yet to be a time this hasn't happened.

I am running on a new installation of XP PRO with all device drivers installed to the latest.

AMD64 FX53 Gigabyte K8NXP-939 Corsair XMX 2x512mb eVGA 6800GT 256 550watt PSU +12v@30A

I've reinstalled the game already, but to no luck. I get a grea fps rate out of it... but it just.... shuts down on me. I like the game a lot, but it seems like EA did a terrible job making it.

All of my other games and applications run stable.

Thanks for your time guys, any input would be awesome.

OK ... as he said. EA did not code or create the game. They put up the money and their name to PUBLISH it. CTDs of that timing are usually remeniscent of a HEAT issue. Could be your chip over heating or your vid card perhaps. Even your ram.

yea try running the game with your side off and see if that makes it run better

The CPU is kept under strict airflow, below 50C in game (monitored).

Ram has a dedicated fan as well. Nevertheless though, runninging without side off does not resolve the issue.

Thanks for the replies, does anyone else have a possible solution?

Whenever something with a computer doesn't have an obvious solution, I always say: Maybe it just doesn't like you. Seriously. Sometimes my PC doesn't work until I get someone to look at the problem
