Hey guys I have recently installed that blood mod and i went to go put back my origional serverarchives.con file and somehow it got mixed up and i lost my origional and im stuck with the blood patch on (aka no multiplayer) Also i changed my clientarchives.con file into a txt and now it wont change back!! id simply reinstall the game but i lost the game booklet and my serial number, i'd very very much appreciate it if someone would help my out in this tight spot and send me a copy of their files. these are very small files and won't take long to send, and are located in battlefield 2 -> mods -> bf2. you can contact me on aim at "apsvq35dett" or reply with your screenname and ill get back to you, thanks for your time...any help will be very much appreciated.

I cannot reinstall because as I stated I lost my serial number so it would not let me install it again.

Whule I sympathise with you, if you are being honest with us, asking ppl for copies of their game file because you have "lost" your CD key is really not a good idea, cotnact EA and see if they can help.

Can you enlighten me as to why it would be a bad idea? I'm talking about getting 2 probably 10kb files to me from a fellow gamer, perhaps im wrong in assuming there is some kind of peaceful community between bf2 gamers?

No but you don't have a CD key, manual, how do we even know you have a genuine copy of the game, you may have borrowed it from a friend and used a daemon tool to make a disk image.

If you have proof of purchase you should be able to get a replacement key from EA, but we don't have any idea whether you have a genuine copy.

Unfortunatly I am not in the habit of keeping my receit. Also you cannot install the game ( or play online for that matter ) with a invalid CD key (aka using a program to make one) because all the servers have a list of valid cd keys and pirating this game is out of the question. Furthermore I've searched for ways to find your CD key on your installed game because then I would just simply re-install, however the spot where your cd key is stored (in your regedit) is hidden by code, as in its scrambled and mixed up with tons of numbers and is like 200+ didgits long. The files im requesting seem to just tell them game what to execute and when, here is what is inside the one i accidentally turned to a .txt; fileManager.mountArchive Objects_client.zip Objects fileManager.mountArchive Common_client.zip Common fileManager.mountArchive Menu_client.zip Menu fileManager.mountArchive Fonts_client.zip Fonts fileManager.mountArchive Shaders_client.zip Shaders At first I had the modified file which makes your game show blood in aingeplayer but having that file makes it so u can't play multi, which is all I play. Then I stupidly made that other file a .txt and it wont change back to a .con. Now the problem is the game wont even start without that file, it says could not find shaders_client.zip or something alone those lines... All I can say is im a really tight spot and im really going out on a limb to trust a fellow gamer but my future of BF2 depends on it.
