Hello, I'm trying to play online with the battlefield 2 demo, but when I try to join a server, the message "joining server" stays for a few seconds, then I get the message "Your connection has been lost with the server". This happens everytime. I already played at this game online with this computer, but after formatting it's not working anymore. I tried opening every port : I put the DMZ mode on my router but then every server had 999ms of ping and the same message appeared. The only big change on my computer since it worked is the RAM (512->1024).

This is my computers specs:

P4 2.4C Asus P4P800 2*512 DDR corsair xms Nvidia geforce FX5600 17inches CRT screen.

Thank you and sorry for my english

No, I have avast anti-virus, and a router. I tried to connect without the router directly, but servers still display 999 of ping and I can't join any.

So you are using a router and a modem, but it still happens even without the router? The only issues that can cause your problem is a firewall issue, since the router/modem won't interfere with outgoing connections. Do NOT put the dmz mode on the router, it's completely unnecesary and will only add more complications. It must be some sort of issue with the computer since it happened with all the games, have you correctly installed all the necessary drivers after reformatting?
