Go to evenbalance.com. Download pbsetup and run it. It should get you all set up.
First, thanks for replying since the evenbalance takes its sweet time... I have done that already multiple times so i can't see it beeing the problem tho... :(
All I can think of right now, do you have an anti-virus program running and if so, try again after you temporary disable your anti-virus program. PnkBstrB.exe is getting installed by PnkBstrA.exe but something blocks it from running after its installed.
Thank's again for a reply to my post, i really appriciate it :) So, i have Zonealarm, installed, and shut off totally, tho i readed somewhere else that aslong zonealarm is on the computer it blocks processes (like punkbuster b) that *dig* too deep into the computers files (looking for cheats in this case). Could anyone confirm this (since i have lost the cd-key so if i delete zone alarm without it beeing the problem i become one sad moron). if this is true could anyone please reccomend a good substitute firewall replacing zonealarm.
So you do not have any anti-virus program running? Post your above log here as well: Even Balance Technical Support - New Trouble Ticket
Cheers again for a reply, you are helping me to solve this instead of letting me stand alone&still :) Already done that too, been waiting for an answer from them for ~30days now... So does this make me sad? Yes! I opened my first trouble ticket to them 11:10, thats over 2 months ago. got a few replys pointing at the anti-virus/firewall. Tho i have tryed in *gaming mode* with zone alarm also, meaning it should allow all processes during that time to acess the internet that wants to, still same problem b-failure...And yes i can safely say i got it correctly installed, got punk a and b installed in system 32 folder. and happy new uppcoming year :)
Then I just don't know anymore. Last that I can think about is to configure your firewall to make sure that the loopback address (127.0.0.1) is not blocked. Also the game does not need to be run with administrator rights but this service does require to run with administrator rights.
Since PBSVC is installing a system-wide service, it needs to be running with Administrator rights during the installation process. That means you have to log in as an Administrator user before running PBSVC. Under Windows Vista, you also have to tell Windows that you want to run this specific program as an Administrator. To do that, right-click your mouse on the PBSVC icon and choose Properties from the pop-up menu. Then click the Compatibility tab and check the box that says "Run this program as an administrator" then click the OK button.
And same to you, have a good time and a successfuly 2008!
Ill try with that loopback adress, didint even know it can be wrong so thanks for the tip. Thank you for your help
yeah i have same thing i try to xp and it work on other computer i try all but yeahh it s a vVISTA THAT MAKE a that
