Hey all. I just installed the 1.03 patch last night and played a few rounds of Wake on some 24/7 server. After that I turned my comp off and went to bed.
Just now, after getting home and turning my PC on to play some more, I find that when I try to join a server, it always comes up with a message saying that the server does not allow people joining that do not have matching content. I don't have anything edited, including that little fix I posted myself, I removed that too.
Any ideas why it might be doing this just now? Something to do with the reboot? Oh and it also says version 1.1.2554 up in the corner after a 1.03 patch? What's going on?
Could they have perhaps made an adjustment to their server?
That seems unprobable as the problem occurs with every server.
Also an update: I tried reinstalling the patches 1.01 and 1.03 just to see if I could revert something. No such luck.
well if you updated with 101 and 103 then you have a problem right there, as 102 corrected 101. so you should actually: 1) Uninstall 2) Delete any left over folders 3)reinstall 4) patch 102 5) patch 103 Unless that is you wrote 101 by mistake, in which case i would think there was a corruption issue in the patch you have.
I wasn't around for the " little fix " of yours. Could there be a registry issue then also faction ? if you do reinstall. Do me a favor. We have not update our server to 1.03 yet. Reinstall up to 1.02 and join our server. see if you can.... Then update yourself to 1.03 and try whatever updated server you can after that. i just want to see the dependancy of the patch.

One minor correction, if you are doing a clean install then you don't need the 1.02, just 1.03. tested it myself on a clean install of windows XP, install windows, BF2 and 1.03 patch and it worked fine.
Well I just reformatted my harddrive this afternoon so it might be a while until I'm able to play again, as I was using a no-CD tool and the disc is at my father's house :(.
So I'll try it out as soon as I can get it installed here.

Oh please! Why are we wasting our time here?
1) Using a no-cd tool was very likely cause of your problem and I would have told you that at the very beginning.
2) discussion of no-cd tools and etc is forbidden on the forum so please don't post on that subject.
That's funny because I was able to play with it on for several rounds the day before :p
Yes but the whole point of punkbuster is that it is always updating to catch new cheats and cracks etc, so a crack that works for you one day will probably not work the next day, and the following day may get your cd key perma banned (if it hasn't already been banned that is!). We spent a lot of time discussing this only to find out afterwards that you are using cracks. This subject is closed, as I said before please do not discuss cracks, no-cd patches, hacks or etc on the forums!
