I am trying to make a shortcut that will start the EFW mod from the desktop. What do I add to my desktop shortcut to get it to start in another mod? I'm guessing that when you change the mod under the community tab and then it restarts the game, it just restarts BF2.exe using some extra command-line bit. If this is obvious or in some help file I haven't read (and I've read a few)...then many appologies. BTW can someone please post in these forums a COMPLETE list of the shortcut command-line parameters (NOT ingame command-line commands) that BF2.exe will accept for future reference for us noobs! TIA

I don't care if it's bad form to reply to one's own messages... Since nobody else seems to know how to do this, here's what I've found out so far. BF2.EXE takes the following command-line parameters : -

  • -menu 0 or 1 - Not Sure!
  • -fullscreen 0 or 1 - Allows you to run BF2 in a window or not.
  • -modPath somefoldername - Starts BF2 in a MOD but doesn't work for me! Yet!
  • -szx xscreenresolution - Custom width of display
  • -szy yscreenresolution - Custom height of display

I hope these are of use to someone... I couldn't find them elsewhere but IF I've missed out on where they actually were listed and it was somewhere obvious, be polite!
