Everytime I try to start the expansion pack Special forces, it gives me this stupid shading error that states "mods/bf2/shaders/lightning.fx not found!!_DO_check your working directory,_AND_sync your shaders folder before calling upon your local rendering programmer/GP.(really!)" Regular Bf2 works fine and I do not get this error. I have already uninstalled it and then re-installed and it gave me the same error, I have updated direct X to the latest version and that did nothing. Geforce 6200 PNY is my graphics card. Also does it require me to play special forces to get the unlocks or just have the game installed?? -Rudi Brasche
I had the same problem but i fixed it by going into the mods/bf2 directory. The files should be in a zip. archive called shaders. All you have to do is extract the files into the shaders folder in either the mods/bf2 or the mods/xpack directory. That should solve the problem.
