I just bought all the recommended parts to play BF2, 1gb memory, 2.2ghz processor, 256 graphics card, ect. Does anyone have suggestions on putting it together? This is my first time.

If this is your first time, you better get someone that knows what he is doing to put it for you. Seriously

Yes, spend $50 and buy an old working computer, pull it completely apart and then put it back together. Once you can do it 50 times in a row and it starts perfect every time then go and put your together. Seriously, practice is the best way to learn, but learn on old stuff!

And here's another thing, don't take advice from ppl who aren't experienced or don't read.

Two things arrowhead927,

1) He wasn't askign for advice on what to buy, he already has it, so he's not going to go out and buy another, he's going to use what he already has. The subject line is for advice on putting it together.

2) You don't knwo what it is, it may be an AMD, so the 2200 will make it about 3000+

The 2200 will be just fine mushroomsatsujin, just be careful. Also you didn't mention Motherboard, are we assuming you purchased a CPU compatible with your old Motherboard?

The 2.2 should work because its over the recommended for the game and the motherboard is a socket 754 and should work with the AMD Athlon 64 2.2ghz chip I got. The motherboard i got was a Gigabyte GA-K8VM800M VIA K8M800 Socket 754 Motherboard. I looked on it and should accept the processer.

No problems at all if it is a 2.2Ghz AMD 64. the Athlon 64 3000+ is only 2.0Ghz, so at 2.2 Ghz yours is actually a 3400+, and one of the last Socket 754 Athlon 64's also.
