Just got a Logitech USB headset with mic on Ebay.. and it's weird. I think I've determined that you have to restart whatever program (itunes, for ex.) to get sound in them if you plug it in with the program running.

Also I can't get BF2 to recognize the mic in the audio options. Anyone use one of these?

I had one of those but the cord ripped (blame the wife). So I replaced with a USB version.

Check to make sure you have the mic enabled in the game's option menu. Then check to see if you have Voice-activated or push-to-talk for the mic. Check for mic sensitivity. Last, and you probably already know this, but not all servers have VOIP enabled. Good luck - I hope this helped

Yeah, you do need to restart whatever program you're using in order for that program to see you mic.

Also, have you made sure that windows is seeing the microphone? That would be first priority.
