It would work yes, but it would look like absolute crap. Post some computer specs.

Correction to that, it may work in BF2, the 9200/9250 chipset isn't supported because there are issues with it that mean that it will not always work depending on your motherboard, avoid this chipset if you want to play BF2. And really why would you buy this ooooooold chipset when there are DX9 vid vidcards for around the same price or less. The 7300, the 6200, the 5200 (probably still a bit slow), and the 9550 for only a little bit more.

Look to spend somewhere more about $200-$300 on a card. if you can't afford that right now, then wait until you can. Buying anything cheaper is a false economy.

Also, post the specs of the rest of your PC.

actually you don't have to spend 200 and up on a card. You can pick up a 9600 xt and play the game just dandy for 70 usd.

ok .. well let's get down to the bone here. You only have a pci slot? i just noticed that the card you bought is pci. OUCH is all i have to say ..... To answer your original question, no this card will not support bf2 in any playable form. You want some advice ? Get a pc you can actually play some games on. Something with at least an advanced graphics port ( agp slot). Yes i know you are about to say " well i play blah and blah and blah and they play just fine". You are gaming from 1-2 years ago, and using a pci to do it with just isn't going to cut it. Especially if you want to play the newer generation of games coming out.

Listen buddy..buying that card would mean your buying 5 year old technology. Save a bit..spend 120-150$ on a card. That card will have problems running BF42 on your system if the rest dosnt match up. What are your current specs?

Ok ... for the last friggin time. Buying that card DOOMs you .... Get it ? The ONLY reason why the 5200 plays BF2, is because they used the same damn chipset as they did for the 5700 and the ti4200 .... IT ISN'T A GOOD CARD BY ANY STRETCH OF THE IMAGINATION. We are just trying to help.

You want to game obviously, how can you say you don't want to play the newest games out when you are trying to get you outdated rig to play bf2 if it can?

It is like telling us you want to race in the indianapolas 500, but can only get a volkswagon.:nodding:
