Dogbreath, Are you doing eveything the exactly the same as you did before you reinstalled? also update bf2 to the latest version Download Here Also please

How to start DXDIAG Click on Start.

Click on Run.

Type in “dxdiag” and press Enter.

How to interpret DXDIAG. The System tab tells you all your basic information about your PC.

The Display tab provides more information on your video card. This tab also has 2 tests that you should run to make sure Direct3D is working properly. These 2 tests take maybe between 5-10 minutes at the max. There are also 3 check boxes: DDraw Status: Enabled D3D Status: Enabled AGP Status: Enabled All 3 should be enabled with the only exception being - if you have a PCI video card you will not have the last of the 3 boxed enabled (AGP Status).

The Files tab will tell you if there are needed files that are MISSING. If they are missing then Direct3D will not work properly and can lead to GPF's.

Saving DXDIAG Info:

On the System tab - at the bottom of the window you should find a button that says "Save All Information". Click this once and it will save a TON of info to any location on your PC you want in the form of a file (named anything you want). This info can then be copied/pasted into your posts. Suffice it to say that if anyone in the Tech Support area asks you to post system info - this method is invaluable as it provides all the info we need plus more. We need the FULL file contents - not just part of it and yes we know it is long...
