It will probably be able to run it, just not on full specs. I would recomend getting a new video card. I would also love one of those 9800's, but I settled for the cheaper, yet relativley pwerful 9600 XT.

d00d if you can afford it: go with the 9500 pro! heres why: some people figured out how to overclock the 9500 to a 9700, and then to 9800 core and clock speeds! it has the same 128 meg memory, so no prob there, just force install the newer drivers. ummm... go to... softfsb.com or softoc.com or one of those and it'll tell how. Many people think the 9800 is a 9700, but professionally overclocked!

you will be lucky to find a 9500 anywhere & a 9700 for that matter unless its second user. By the time half life 2 comes out you will prolly be able to get a 9800XT for around $250.

The 9800 Pro is infact NOT a overclocked 9700 Pro. It has a new core that provides MUCH more power than the 9700 Pro. BTW, when does hl2 come out?

P.S. It's "softmodding", not overclocking. And like I said the 9700 series has a differnt core so it is IMPOSSABLE to overclock (or softmod) a 9700 Pro to 9800/9800Pro speeds.
