I heard that you should download some sepparate INI.BIG file and make the neccessary alterations there and then cut and paste the original somewhere else, but can't you simply make the alterations in the original INI.BIG file? I tried to increase the MIN CP limit to 3000 and the MAX CP limit to 6000, I saved the changes and tried to load the game, but I got an error concerning the game.dat file. I had saved a copy of the original INI.BIG file in another folder and pasted the original over the modified INI.BIG and the game worked normally again. Anyone know what I should do? Is it possible that by having two INI.BIG files with contradicting information could be causing a conflict, even though they aren't in the same folder? Is there some other maximum MAX CP limit that you cannot go beyond without making other alterations?
Is this the right area to make changes?

For anyone wanting to know the answer, someone already e-mailed the answer to me so here it is. You can't just make changes to the ini file in wordpad or notepad, you have to use some free software called, "final big editor." It is pretty straight forward, even for novices. I have never really done any modding and it worked fine. Always make backups before making alterations.
Yep you can find it on lotrfiles if you search for final big editor it should be there. Thread locked, email the mod to email@example.com if you wish cyan and ill host it for you.
