Okay, with the onset of school holidays I have plenty of spare time. I was playing the PS2 game '007: From Russia With Love' and the AK-47 looked awesome in it. So I decided to try my hand at skinning BfV's AK-47 to look like the one in From Russia With Love.

So whaddya think? Metal is darker, the wooden parts are more bright orangey.

EDIT: The pic was taken in BfV: Arsenal, which is why the bayonet isn't fitted to the AK. The skin also works for the AKMS.

nice, the regular ak is too light, but another good idea can u change the front site on there cause aks dont have a round front site, it looks weird expcially when u have a mod that has iron sights (EoD) and u cant hit ne one from like 100meters away cause they show up so small and u cant tell were the bullet is going to go

I'm using Odanan's modified version of DICE's AK-47 in BfV Arsenal, which is why it has the rounded front sight and no bayonet. I only reskinned it, not modelled it.

Like this?

I use Photoshop 7.0, select a mid-greyish color and select 'color Burn', paint over the metal bits. Works nicely.
