hey there  i posted this in the Planetbattlefield forum, and got no response, hopefully you guys can help. as a test, recently ive been trying to edit the heads that are in BF:V. i imported one into 3DSMax and changed the helmet into a nice Special Forces cap, like in Americas Army. anyways, when i exported it, the edited part of the model doesnt appear until you go up close to the character, and yes, i did create all the LOD malarky. then, when i found a guy who had the same look, and moved closer, his hat suddenly broke away from his scalp ( pulling the top vertices with it smile.gif ) and moved about 4ft infront of him and rotated away from him 90 degrees. plus it was bright white, but i guess thats something to do with my unwrapping. anyways, anybody know how to get the model into the game without this happening. im guessing it has something to do with the rig of the head, but the skeleton for that is just so confusing, i dont think i could understand it without a tutorial. PS. i tried changing my unwrap, but even when the model in Max shows the hat as skinned, in the game, it does the same thing. :kerian:

You should thank EA/DICE for making things so easy to edit and all those improvements on the modding side .... improvements that are non existent by the way ....

I wish i could help you but i tried the same thing and got same result like you .... It's gotta be some trick they use .... Anyway , i didn't try hard enough so probably there is a way , but i'm sure you can't call it easy when people hit a wall so quickly ....
