I was thinking, since there are so many people out there that use the vehicles provided as Taxi's. Its as if they dont mean anything.. they will respawn. Vehicles are need to win a game and if you use them wisely you can dominate.. But i have seen to many people taking advantage of these vehicles... SO im thinking on a sorta patch/mod.. Which deducts points if you either 1. Get out of the vehicle while it is still at full speed or 2. stay in for less than 60 seconds. I would have no clue of how this would be coded.. but i am willing to help in any way I can... I know how to code for BFV but mainly around the Vehicle tweaking area...

that would be kinda bad since some people just out at full speed to aviod getting killed. That would be a bad idea, the jeeps are only taxies. Simlpy get the vehices before the noobs.

Also with the whole 60 second thing, you might get into a scout vehicle (i.e Jeep) - and Oh Dear, a tank comes rolling round the corner, anyone who doesn't jump out is dead, losing points for jumping out like that is kinda silly.

Scratch that, when they are there for more then 2 minutes a point is taken away from them...

I think it's still narrowing it down too much - IMO it's ok to snipe a spawn point, because unless you're some freak sniper or something, a few people are going to manage to escape with their heads, or even counter-snipe you or whatever. In this case, sniping would be losing you points, kinda stupid don't you think? OK - there's such thing as relocating, but that should be the sniper's choice... What I do NOT like at all, is camping with Helicopers , since in a heli - so long as the people have only spawned for a second at the most, then you pretty much have the enemy screwed, rockets have a large splash damage area, and you don't have enough time to aim the SA-7 or get to the Quad 50 or whatever before having the sh*t blown out of you. To stop this from happening, maybe there should be some sort of fuel restriction put on the helis? Also, the whole point of them SHOULD be support IMO, (apart from the transport). So maybe something should be done that if somebody in the Mi8 Assault or the Huey Assault are a certain distance from their teammates (other assault helis NOT included) - then they start losing points.:naughty: What do you think?

As for the heli campers, isn't there already a server option to prevent people from camping over/in the non-cappable spawn points? It doesn't help with the other spawn points, but at least you can spawn safely at the main base with it. (or is that option just in BF1942?)

I think one way to settle the heli-whores down would be to reduce their payload so they have to re-supply more often. It may not be a realistic payload, but BF is not exactly a model of realism anyways.
