currently im using maya to model for a mod, but i cannot export in the correct format for BFV nor import the models. can someone please help me with this issue? thanks.
you will have to get your model into 3dsmax then convert it to editable mesh and so on .... the MDT has exporters only for 3dsmax/Gmax as far as i know ....
or you might wanna try Milkshape 3D .... that might help you out , but it's alot easier if you get 3dsmax .... there is another converter in the MDT that converts all .3ds files into .sm files but i'm pretty sure , those .3ds files have to be structured properly in order for the conversion to work .... i'm just guessing here so don't take it as a fact :D
Probably the easiest of all is exporting it into gmax. Free app and the exporting and importing can easily be done since the battlefield development kit has tools for gmax and 3d studio max. Plus you don't have to buy gmax whereas with new versions of milkshape limit you to a timeframe that you can use it.
