Just tried your map, thought I`d leave some feedback... - good to see a co-op map out, no enough of them. Bots really agressive in this. (A good thing!) Died several times before I`d even hit the ground! - ground is a mad color of green. Bit unappealing. - the hills/palm trees thing makes combat a bit annoying. Dying alot without ever seeing a thing. Hard to get clear shot at anything. - like the size and flag layout of map. Hope you don`t think I`m just posting to flame your hard work. No way! Just that me and the guys love a good co-op map for next LAN party. Have idea for another map that u might want to try. Take existing one (easier this way for AI) and level out terrain. Some clumps of undergrowth here and there trees around edges, put 1 or 2 flags on slight hill with trees on it. (no heli flag capping!) Then put a small US base in corner. 1 uncappable flag, 3 heli pads, 2 huey transport, 1 chinook. (no gunships!) Surround it with out of bounds. Remove parachutes. US must use choppers to get to LZ and take flags. No bailing out either. Could be fun and have that Nam feel about it.

It was no hard work , just a quick test .... I'm not sure if you noticed but the map size is 256 not , the regular , 1024 .... It has only one texture tile .... The regular maps have 16 texture tiles so they're not gonna be small .... Anyway , the bots are very agressive so i made a mod to force them to fight only with grenades , that way you survive alot longer .... lol .... .... you could MOD the \objects\HandWeapons\Common\AiTemplates.con and force them to use a different weapon for short-range combat .... i forced them to use only grenades and then i turned the grenades into small Napalm bombs .... lol .... have fun and make your own map .... you got the tools ....

You should start making your own coop map , especially if you know exactly what you want .... If i start to make a regular size map i won't be able to post it here because it's gonna be alot bigger ....

You see , you say agressive bots it's a good thing , but i hate it very much :D if they kill me every 3 seconds .... I had to make a MOD right away to force the bots to be less agressive and to use different tactics , cause i couldn't play the map like that ....

Have fun .... Customize it .... :D

Where did you get the information to customize these things? I'm still a noob, but I want to be able to edit my bots better than the d'arc thingey

What exactly are you trying to do ? It's all there in the scripts .... Just change the .con files .... Plenty of tutorials all over the net .... I'm not familiar with the D'Arc thing .... I'll have to check it out i guess ....

The test map has very agressive AI because they got a view distance of 300 .... but considering that the map is small , only 256 , you can change the AI viewdistance to 20 or 15 to give the impression that they can't see you because of vegetation .... the bots completely ignore the vegetation so they've got a big advantage with a AI view distance of 300 .... just edit the \JungleNuts\AI.con and change the view distance to 15 instead of 300 ....

"aiSettings.setViewDistance 15" .... that's more like it .... :D

Hmm, that helps. Probably should start a new thread for my question

Use Botinator or copy AI part from existing maps and then edit the strategies.con , conditions.con and prerequisites.con .... also use Photoshop to edit the pathfinding maps .... read some tutorials about AI .... the AI part can be very simple or very complicated .... everybody recomends to keep it as simple as posible .... don't expect any miracles from those bots :D
