My friend and I have been playing coop together on BFV since it came out. Never had any problems other than my CTD, but we were still able to play. He now has a new computer, we both recently installed the 1.02 patch and when either one of us try to connect to the other, we both get "Failed to connect to server." Neither of us has punkbuster enabled. The in game settings are the same as we've always had. The only difference is his new computer and the 1.02 patch. His computer is an Alienware, mine is a Dell XPS. We both have P4 3.2ghz, 1GB ram, Audigy 2. The only other main difference is his video card is a Radeon X800 and mine is a 9800XT. We were able to join other games online with no problem. Can anyone PLEASE help??

is it possible that the port you are trying to use is being blocked by a firewall? or are you using the same port when connecting to a 3rd party server? also several weeks ago i had a similar issue, my clan mates and i could connect to a 3rd party server, but if i tried to connect to one that one of them would throw up, i couldn't get in but others could. i tried everything i could think of, then i called my isp. and after about 25 minutes, of telling tech support what i had done and tried, we ended up dumping my DNS cache and rebooted. and that seemed to fix the issue for me. i don't remember how to dump the DNS cache but maybe someone here could clue ya in, or if not, call your isp.

I have Norton firewall installed, but I always disable that and my anti-virus before I play anything. It's never given me a problem before. I'll look into the DNS thing. Thanks, NFC!

I can't connect to the internet with bfv. I click on the internet thing and it doesn't show anything. I know it's not my internet connection because I had just stopped playing bf1942. Help?

Yep, but I had no problem with it before the 1.012 patch. Or whatever patch it was.

I installed All Seeing Eye, but I still can't connect. We even tried plain old BF1942, and get the same message! I guess our days of playing together are over :(

Did you call your ISP yet, in regards to dumping DNS cache? I have heard alot of people with similar problems, that i had, and you are having shortly after the sasser virus hit the net. and the dns server you use, could have been effected. i am telling ya man, call your isp asap.

I'm going to, I just don't have time. By the time I get home from work, it's 6:30 or so, and they're closed. We tried connecting to other servers and had no problem.
