When i start up BFV everything is fine. I can start single player just fine. I can go to muliplayer just fine and update the list of servers there. When I click on the name of one the ping will jump from 50 or 60 or whatever to 9999. If I double click to join any servers it stalls for a few seconds and says it is trying to connect. Then it says it cannot connect. I have been getting this ever since 1.2 came out. Since then I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game. I have wiped and reinstalled my whole system also and nothing works. I used to be able to play just fine. I have a static ip that is mapped to my router here at home. DHCP is setup on my router for my laptop but my desktop that I play on has a assigned ip address. In my linksys wrt54g router, i have the ports open and forwarding to the ip of my desktop. As far as my computer goes, it is fully compatible with the game as it has worked before. Any ideas?
I'm having a similar issue. Played BF1942 and BF:V with no problems at all up until the 1.21 patch a couple days ago. Now I get "Failed to Connect to Server" everytime I try to connect. The server list updates and refreshes just fine - even getting low ping servers - but when I connect, it dumps me back with that error. This is on BOTH BF1942 and BF:V - after installing the new patches for both. Have I tried reformatting my harddrive and re-installing? Hell no, but shouldn't these patches work? Anyone else having similar issues? Anybody got a clue?
Installed the 1.21 patch yesterday and now can't play POE or EOD mods, just a couple of 1.21 servers. The others just give a "Failed to connect to server" message!! >:|
I know it sounds a stoopid question, but is this because not all servers are running the 1.21 patch yet?
Really starting to p133 me off now!
Will they ever come out with a patch that actually fix know issues that need to be fixed? I posted here a few weeks ago wanting help. I was having problems with my server list not updating properly after updating to 1.2 full patch. It would update the server list but it would show that I was pinging all servers around 500-1500 and my mouse would lag around the screen. I was finally able to fix that problem by simply defragging my hard drive, but since this new 1.21 patch came out I am having that problem again. I tried defragging my HD again but it did not work. I am going to uninstall and reinstall to see if that works. This sucks though, it took me 3 weeks to fix it the first time and they had to screw up and come out with another pointless patch that doesn't fix anything but a freaking exploit that nobody gives a damn about. If they are going to put time into making a new patch they should atleast try to fix problems that are needed to be fixed and stop worrying about bs that can be fixed later on after the real problems with the game are fixed. Just my thought, I knew there would be problems with BFV for a while until they get the bugs worked out but it has been about what 9 months and hardly anything major has been fixed yet. I am starting to think I blew $30 bucks on a game that I can't play half of the time. I have had this game for about 6 months now and I have only been able to play it for about two weeks total. Getting very frustrated with BFV. Did they even test the game before they came out with it?

The people who made the mod will have to issue an update to make it work with the latest patch. EA/DICE won't make BFV compatible with non-EA/DICE programming.

this could also be a PunkBuster problem. Since you are playing with a ver. that is different from the norm. PB might think you are "Hacking" and kick you for it. Also make sure that the server you are on is running the current Ver. (1.21) I know it usually says tells you but you never know. Al ot of people who play on a server I frequent were all complaining about getting kicked for PB. Way too many people to be a coincidence.
