I personally love flying around those helis, and I think a joystick would make it much easier. What is a really nice joystick I could buy that works well? I've bought some in the past that look good and are made by good companies but either don't work at all or just don't work well with game, so I gave up, does anyone know of a really nice joystick out there?

Check out this thread: http://www.gamingforums.com/showthread.php?t=120220

Most people tell what they use joystick-wise... I have a Logitech Wingman Assault 2 that was working fine up until the last time I played BFV. I use the Joysteick for the planes and the mouse/KB for helicopters, but after flying a plane I hopped into a heli and it started to roll...

I removed the joystick from my control setup and unplugged it. I haven't plugged it back in yet.

hi :naughty: iv'e just investead in a logitec freedom 2.4 cordless joystick and to tell the truth its the best investment iv'e made :nodding: , it may have cost me nearly £50.00 but its been well worth it, it comes with a program thats supplied with this make that sets up sensitivity and gametypes for you before you play game so you can fine tune it (all instructions included) .. iv'e had no problems with flying the helicopters or planes and it don't conflict with my trackball mouse or anything else ( lol still not got the helicopter flying to an art yet :uhoh: ). i did try my sidewinder joypad at one stage and i did get a conflict .. i could not assign keys in menu :uhm: ... to tell the truth u get what you pay for .. you need a joystick with twistgrip for rudder control and at least 5+ buttons for other various controls but i also combine some keybord keys in menu for backup just incase :nodding: hope this has helped

I am using a Nostomo n50 speed pad and a logitech mouse. I would like to use a joystick for the helo's but I can't get it to work. Do I need to dump the Nostromo? Am I missing something in the options menu? I don't see joystick listed anywhere. Appreciate any help.

Under Options -> Controls -> Air you have to just set up the controls manually... click a space then use the appropriate motion on the joystick. See attached.

They are two different buttons. I think it's [SHIFT] and [C] by default. You'll find those controls on the "Infantry" section of the controls.
