Which Heli? Second button meaning alternate fire? thinking about this.... I bet you mean the Heli that picks things up. That noise would be the chain lowering so you can hoist a vehicle in the air with your chopper.

what does the alternative fire do? because when you are in the Assault Helicopter, not apache, and you are the pilot, I press the alternative fire and a strange noise (like a machine gun firing noise) make sound. I dont see bulets and any trace of bullets. Do i have to configure anything?

Thats the chain lowering. In the lower ight hand corner you will see a progress bar as you hold down the button. In 3rd person view you can see the chain extend

You speak of the tow chain. You need to be above an object that can be picked up, like the PBR, Sheridan, or Crate. You need to switch to "follow mode" with your camera to see it. Hit F10 when you're in the air, then hold alt-fire and you'll see it extend from the bottom. Once the chain is fully extended, you have to maneuver the end of it at a key point of said objects to 'latch on' to them. You'll see a bar in the bottom right indicating how far along it's latched. You'll hear a "click" when it's successfully attached. You can stop holding Alt-Fire when you hear the click. Also a green light will turn on in the lower right. From there, fly straight up to lift the object off the ground. To release the object, hit Alt-Fire again. Keep in mind you should drop it when low to the ground or else it'll explode. On a sidenote, there's no Apache in BFV. The UH-1H Slick (transport), UH-1A Iriquois (gunship), CH-47 Chinook (large transport), and the AH-1G Huey Cobra (attack helicopter) all are there now, and they're adding in the OH-6 Loach (scout) in the 1.1 patch.

Bah, Airlifting is the most aggrivating things to do, not to mention that badly designed chain AKA. "The Broken Stick". ¬_¬
