a temp "band-aid" is, if it happens hit "ESC/options/sound" don't make any changes. when the sound options come up. the sound should stop. i have only had this not work once.

Hell everyone. Is anyone here familiar with the BF Destrucktion mod?? In version .5 of the mod I found the problem with the sound looping that occures when a napalm bomb is dropped. I think the only way to solve it was to remove the sound and replace it, and I believe thats what I did. If you run the BFD mod you should not get any looping sounds. Just so all of you know the problem is not with the sound file (.wav), or your sound cards, it is actually a problem with the games code. So fooling with your sound settings will yield no result. To be specific, the problem has to do with a cluster projectile that actually has multiple projectiles. (thats what the Napalm is) For some reason attaching a sound to it a certain way will cause an endless loop. Unfortunately for all of you who want to play with the sound fix in an online environment, my mod will not work since it was created before the mods where made online compatible with the 1.1 patch. So it only works in sp. Hopefully the game devs have used the code from my mod to fix the problem in the real patch, but that means your gonna have to wait for them to release that. I think that its pointless to release a patch that just fixes that one problem, but I could probly do that if the community really feels the need for it. someone should start a poll.
