hey guys wussup... ok before i installed the patch v1.01 it work fine .pefect..buh after i install the v1.01 patch....it wotn start...i clic on the bfvietnam icon...a black screen pop up and den goes away and returns me to my desktop?? is there anyone dat can help me wid my problem?? thanx alot

It's a bit of a pain in the rear, but you may want to try reinstalling the game and reinstalling the patch.

I had the same problem. It was because i was using the play without cd patch it changes the EXE. I reinstalled the game and now it works fine

i wuz using the no cd crac too.......... i uninstall the game n den reinstall it and now da problem is "Please insert correct CD-ROM" or sumtin

I am against using any NoCD hacks for the game since I figure I paid for it and loading in the CD really isn't that much of a pain in the ass.

EDIT: Agreed. If you use them is up to you, but dont mention them at GF. Problems with no cd being detected are most likely caused by no-cd cracks.

I know of one person who has a legit copy of the game, and after they installed the new patch he couldn't get the game to load either, due to a problem in his registry. Now i don't suggest anyone muck around with the registry, but we both knew what we are doing, and he didn't feel like installing the game again.

But the simple safe way to correct the problem is to just install the game again, and it should automatically correct any registry problems. -NFC Gun4Hire
