In case you haven't figured it out by now, the patch is out. The official EA site to download the patch is here. This is supposed to fix the Crash to Desktop issues that people have been having (that I've had too, but only rarely).
Keep in mind that the "Incremental Patch" that they have there is for server-side only, as of this writing (I made the mistake of getting that one first). So, get the 16.6 meg version of the file and you should be all set. And yes, you can get it at other places too, but I've never had any trouble (and get fast speeds) from the official links. Hope this helps you guys that have been having a lot of CtD issues... make sure to let us know if it has or hasn't.
CTD fix? Hahahaha. Still having the same problem, the patch did nothing for me.

What cats are you using? i have read that some people have had success rolling back to cats 4.2 and 4.3. also someone mentioned in another thread about codecs may be causing it to crash to desktop when the intro movie tries to load. may want to take a look around the forum.
I was finally able to play 2 maps consecutivley without crashing! This is what I did. I uninstalled BFV totally. Deleted the folder that's left when you uninstall it through the uninstaller, I went into the registry and deleted everything BFV related. I also deleted Reforce. It let's you adjust your refresh rates for all different resolutions. I'd heard this caused some problems. I downloaded and installed the 4.6 cat drivers, reinstalled BFV and now it's working. Not sure if it was the new drivers, reinstalling the game, or remove Reforce. Or maybe a combination of them. Anyway, it's finally working! :bows: :D  My system: Dell XPS P4 3.2Ghz 1GB Ram SB Audigy 2 Radeon 9800XT
Before this, I tried everything I saw in the forums, all to no avail. I didn't want to have to go through all this, but sometimes you just gotta say "What the f---"
Thanks for the update, Astaldo and congrats that it's working!
