Hey, I saw this at the EA Message Boards for BFV

After loading the 1.01 patch (last Friday) I like a lot of people had problems with my computer crashing when loading maps on both single and multi player modes. AE tech support responded to my question yesterday. Here is their response:

There is most likely due to a corruption of your profile data. In your main Battlefield Vietnam folder (most likely C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield Vietnam\Mods\BFVietnam) there is a folder called "Settings". In the Settings folder, there is a sub-folder named "Profiles", and in this folder your personal data is kept. Deleting this folder should resolve the issue that you are experiencing.

I deleted this folder as they suggested and since then my BV game is back to normal. It was a frustrating 5 days waiting for response, but was glad to be back playing BV last evening. I hope this post helps others.

I had this problem with one of the DC updates with BF1942 & it did fix it then. Can't believe I never thought of this. Nice work man.
