make sure the path is correct when you installed the game did you install in the default place or your own
lol this is a easy one to fix.I just had the same problem.First don't open it.Save it.And when you save it, add .exe at the end of the filename before you save it.Now it is a exe file(exacutable file).Just go to the folder you saved it in and double click it and the rest is history.

Dude that is not the problem that is going on here. the patch is executing others wise it wouldn't be looking for an installation of battlefield.
Oh um............Well it looks like you have a bigger problem than what I had.Good luck.My friends BFV keeps locking his pc up everytime he trys to play it.Got any ideas?
What are his system specs?
Good question.I will ask him and get back to you on that.I am just glade the new patch fixed my main problem. My game would crash back to desktop.Man was I starting to get pissed.Only problem I have now is the music to the intro skips alot now.But it did that before the patch. If you know what could be causing that, let me know.My specs are AMD Athlon 3200+ 64-bit 256MB Geforce 5700 FX with t/o MSI Neo motherboard 512MB pc3200 ram (soon to be upgraded) 120GB HHD 8MB cache Blue case with see through side and blue neon light<---Just added that for kicks
what type of sound card do you have?
lol I can't believe I forgot that.It is just onboard sound.I aint sure what kind though.Do you play Soldier of Fortune 2 Gun4Hire?I know a Gun4Hire on that game.I am ][DoD][MoRbiD aNgeL. My site is www.dodrocks.com
the onboard sound could be the problem. i would suggest an audigy card from soundblaster. and yes i do play SOF2. NFC Gun4Hire
I thought that was you.If I use headphones, would it still be worth upgrading my sound or no?I have speakers, but never use them.I find it that I can hear the more fine tuned sounds like footsteps or a granade pin being pulled when I use headphones.
