Yes it does that very well. But in my remarks in the previous post above, you can not fire any weapons when engauging In-System Warp through the acceleretion impulse mod. You must always drop to normal impulse speed before firing any weapons. By tweaking the impulse settings through MPE, this is now at your disposal: This is my version of Torpedos Away :naughty:
Unfortunately its not possible to make larger maps. You may have noticed that in "The Universe" map, when near some of the farthest away planets your ship begins to shake. This is due to the way BC designed its location system. It can not figure out where you are in the map very well when your that far from the center. So any bigger and the shake becomes too enoying to make it plausible.
As for the problem of firing torpedoes in intercept. Its not there for a reason. Torpedoes only move at a certain speed. The speed of the object they launch from is irelevant. So if you are at a fast intercept, nothing will keep you from coliding with torpedoes you launch.
