I've been downloading a few models/mods, and all of a sudden, none of them work. As in, the in game menus don't show the added ships, even when I've reinstalled them with BCMOD.
Am I gonna have to reinstall ?
(Edit: I tried to delete this post and repost in Help forum, but it seems they won't let me :frog:)
Go to configure, and then Mutator, activate at least the first 3. If you don't have a Mutator option, then you need to (re) install the foundation.
That did the trick, but I must have a dodgy mod somewhere, as it caused BC to crash everytime I entered a battle.
I ran a scandisk, it repaired foundation.pcy (or something) and I thought that'd to the trick, but no, the game wouldn't start at all !
So i'm currently reinstalling.... really slowly (just why is the install so SLOW ?!)
Even after a reinstall and a reboot, it's pretty b0rked.
When I click the shortcut icon, it shows the timer for a few seconds, then.... nothing.
I check Task Manager, and stbc.exe is sitting there with 99% CPU usage. :'(
I suppose you got a black screen? Try going into Testmode, and when you get at the "nothing" press ` (tilde, left from the 1). And then Enter, press Print Screen, press the tilde again, press Alt + Tab, then kill the program (with taskmanager), open Piant or any other draw program, and then you press Ctrl + v. Save as Jpeg, and post it here.
No, it just stayed on the desktop, as if i hadn't clicked the shortcut.
I resolved the issue by removing all the files left after the uninstall, reinstalled, and all is ok. Except that, even with the options in mutators enabled, I can't use any of the added ships. I might just give up :uhoh:
How, did you added those ships?
Using BCMOD, they were just .bcmod files i previously had no problem with.
That only will work with the .NET version of it. And some modders don't put the plugin with it. I suggest you always add the ship using BCMP, and you can find errors with that, al least some possible errors.

Its the same file i used in the first place that worked fine. Plus it is the .NET version.
