..I just thought of this..Heh..Tech TV's 'The Screen Saver's have weekly LAN parties..We should get a bunch of people to request a Bridge Commander LAN party..since all they've done so far is BF1942 and Counterstrike..That'd be pretty awesome, ne?

It's something you'd be able to do at home. The LAN parties are hosted through their websites. They're way up in Frisco, and I'm down near LA, and I've still participated in their LAN parties..

As I said before, you wouldn't have to leave your living room..It's as simple as signing on and going to their site and entering the LAN party..

I think a Bridge Commander LAN party will be cool.

They should really call it a WAN party ;). Good idea, but I don't think BC is mainstream enough for them to go for it.

no - thats GAN (Global Area Network): WAN is "only" a Wide Area (that means one country only) - or a continent. ...and LAN is - as everybody knows - only a Local Network.

greetings from an UNIX-Admin

...and Thunderchild: vontaene:~ # ping netsurf.de PING netsurf.de (194.195.64.40): 56 data bytes 64 bytes from 194.195.64.40: icmp_seq=0 ttl=248 time=45.811 ms

vontaene:~ # ping google.com PING google.com (216.239.35.100): 56 data bytes 64 bytes from 216.239.35.100: icmp_seq=0 ttl=50 time=295.612 ms

hmm...I would say: I have a high ping on american servers... (I'm european)

Lol, yeah thats true, beats LAN or MAN (Metropolitan Area Network) I suppose.

Those are pretty good ping times.
