Ok, used BCMP to install the CG Sov, and all went well, it had a problem with the Ship ID textures, but otherwise it loaded fairly fine, but when I played, I did not have complete textures on top, on the bottom of the saucer it is a messed up texture where the ID should be.
Any idea how that happened? the same for the side of the hull as well, where the penant should be, one of the old textures is there, and the bottom of the saucer also has a mixed texture. :mad:

you used BCMP? the CG SOV is a BCMI file. what's your graphics card? it might not be enough to support the textures

Some people use BCMP's "test unpack" method of openning BCMI files rather than download the .net framework. It is possible the unpack missed a couple of files and left some in place that shouldn't be. Are you replacing a sovereign or installing a whole new seperate one?
Basically it wouldnt overwrite the "read only" files, as a result, I simply selected to check off the read only option, reinstalled, and it's working great.

I had this problem once and all I did on my old graphics card was reduce the teaxtures in BC to medium byt that was long a go.......................
Lol...well..it works now..
But it's so graphics intensive that when turned on high, when in the first simulated combat, it runs slow..then freezes and crashes the game. I just wish I had a BETTER GRAPHICS CARD...might be a bit too much for my 64mb raedeon along with the 384 mb of Ram
Hm..interesting new developement, I feel it may be hte hardpoint, cause when I load up a saved game, it works perfectly fine on my old games, with the P-81 Sov hardpoints. Any ideas?
