I guess this question isn't BC related, but it has to do with Star Trek. Is there a version of the Star Trek encyclopedia which covers everything up to Enterprise Season one? And on a side note, does the PC version of Star Trek Omnipedia have an online update feature to stay current?
Nope and Nope.
LOL. I would wait until the end of Enterprise and then get the encyclopedia...until then, I would use online sources to discover what I want or just post on a message board. But I really want that Encyclopedia...
I, like many people dont consider enterprise to be a Star Trek show. Its just a roddenbery Sci-Fi, kinda like Andromeda.
I consider Enterprise to be a Star Trek show, but I don't want to wait another six years.
Well, its not really Star Trek its just based on ST it even says so in the opening credits.
It also says that in Voyager though. I consider that to be a STar Trek series
www.ditl.org <---Best site on the net for Specs and such.
ah, the daystrom institute. I went there and they had the specs of a mushroom shaped starbase's shields. That's A LOT of terajoules.
Actually I think of Enterprise as a show..it is a "trek" through the "stars", therefore being Star Trek. Anything with that in mind is a Star Trek but not always the one created by Roddenbery.. Besides, It's part of Star Trek History...the first explorers that paved the way for our Janeways and Picards and Kirks to go out there and do their best in the name of diplomacy and exploration. It is an essential part of the show...Just cause the torpedoes aren't photon and they don't have oval shields doesn't mean it isn't Star Trek..it simply means that it's different. Where else would you see a Farengi except a Star Trek episode? lol
It should always say "based on" in the credits because unfortunately Gene Roddenbery, to the best of my knowledge has passed away, and the creators attribute it to him for creating Star Trek and base all the series as being because of his work..
