Got any great tactics for Bridge Commander single playeror multiplayer, post here.
Mine is the bop. Stay close to that warbird, dont go any more than 2 warbirds a way. Then take out its impulse, then take out the warp core. Such an easy tactic!
"Drive-by torping"... Fly to a very close distance and belt off a quad shot of torpedoes.
Mine is for the Warbird too. I usually try to stay in front of it and aim for the bridge. This is espesially helpful in a fed ship with all the phaser arcs. Usually in the process of taking out the brdige you can take out the disrupter beam too. Just keep rotating throught the shield arcs while hitting the brdige the whole time. Great way to take out a Warbird REAL QUICK.
Live long and Prosper.
My favorite tactic for Vorcha vs Warbird is to just sit there. That's right, just sit there. Shoot like there's no tomorrow, because your front shield is immensely strong. He'll probably lose his front shield by the time your front shield is yellow-orange.
This is for any ship Vs Vorcha. Get above it and take out its sensor array. The dorsal shields are fairly weak as is the subsystem. After that they can,t shoot you, what could be easier?
shuttle vs warbird, you can only really damage it when it is cloaking or decloaking, so take out its impulse engines first, shield generator 2nd, cloak 3rd, and then take it apart. yay!! flying around inside the warbird!!!
Target disruptor beam FIRST, attack, full volley photons (single fire - increases accuracy), immediate turn to dodge incoming fire, sweep thru phasor arcs to aft torps which should wipe out the front shields and disruptor beam.
Scorch the unprotected bridge at your leisure.
You don't have to take any damage whatsoever if you do it the right way! Stay behind, to the left, and *slightly* above. Follow it around in that same spot (as well as you can), and just keep pelting the poor beast. I would recomend taking out the cloaking device first. They only have one rear firing torpedo tube, and I have gotten hit by it fewer than 2 times every 10 games I play. Even with the AI set to medium (I have yet to try hard, just haven't gotten around to it) they don't cloak often enough. The only problem is multiple warbirds - at that point, you can't stay behind all of them at once.
Cardassian stations: first take out the disruptors, then the Phasers - then the rest (if there is one)
Cardassian ships: Head for Warp Engines
New Race: first cloaking Device, then repair system
Sovereign: no way to destroy if you don't have a Sovereign, too (if you ennemy is human)
Klingons: Use your tractor to slow them down
Cloaking - Helps one repair their ship if they can stay cloaked longer without worry of eventually running out of aux power. The trick... is to drop all energy to weapons, shields(which are off anyway in cloak), engines, and keep minimal sensors. That way what you use doesn't exceed what you gain.
Starbase- Firstly You have to make sure you're a small enough ship, yet large enough to carry a decent payload of weapons. Sovereign ship is excellent choice for a non-cloaking vessel.
The trick is to line yourself up with the open docking door. It never closes. You can actually fly right into the starbase and attack it from the inside without worry of being attacked by the base or other defenders. The hard part is getting there, which is why I tend to use a cloaked ship with the above tactic. Warbird is too large, and so is the Heavy Kessok ship, which really only makes the sovereign the best choice as long as you can dodge a few shots. You'll likely take some damage getting inside as it's very easy to bump into things. Just take it slow when going in to cause minimal damage.
Once the Starbase is about to be destroyed... crank up the shield generator energy to max power. This will allow you to remain inside the starbase as it explodes. In my experience it has only damaged my shields by 25%-50%. No more than that.
As Riker and picard have their own Maneuvers I have classified this one as the "Henning Maneuver". Even if someone else knew about this tactic. I've not come across anyone and it's nice to pretend. lol
