How come the Enterprise-D can't produce a terrawatt of power? I thought they would be producing at least 100000 terrawatts.

I seem to remember an episode that mentioned something like that, it's yet another Trek inconsistency, ignore it. It probably produces a 100,000 - 1 million terrawatts.

Yes..It can for sure produce more then 1 TW of power..Hell..Voyager can, and she's a much smaller ship. 7 of 9 stuck her hand in a conduit once, and Chekotay (I can't spell names) said something along the lines of 'Don't do that..There are (Some random Number, but over 1 TW) terawatts of power running through there..' and Seven goes on to say something about how the Borg can obsorb so much and bla bla..but just goes to show that if a ship as small as an Intrepid, half the size of a Galaxy, can produce over 1 TW of power, then a Galaxy can.

50 million gigawatts = 50 terrawatts, but of course, the phasers use up something like 20,000 TW, so I think Voyager has plenty of power.

Yeah, I know. But that was just through an Astrometrics power conduit..so yeah, of course Voyager is pleanty of creating much, much more power. Just using that as a refrence..but I don't remember the exact number Harry gave..It was either 50 million or 500 million..Big difference, but I was tired when I watched the episode.
